See full video here (Pellizco’s entry at 21:06 in the video):

After the success of receiving a wild card from the Central heats of 2020 British street food award and going on to win the Best Newcomer at the national finals, we entered again in 2021, with the absence of the central heats we were placed into the northern heats, alongside 14 other traders including Greidy’s, Bao Bro’s and more.  These were judged by Richard Johnson (operator of the British St Food Awards), Danny Malin (owner of youtube channel ‘rate my takeaway’), Jonathon & Tara Harris (The Yorkshire Food Guide), Manjit’s Kitchen, Ranie Sirah (previous winner of british & European street food awards).

Winning dish: Lamb Barbacoa tacos (available at cutlery works)

We were voted by these as the Northern Champion, and put through to the National Finals in Hull.   This was judged again by Rate my takeaway, Yorkshire food guide, Richard Johnson, Ranie Sirah, Shaun Rankin (a Michelin starred chef in Hull), Mose Masoe (Hull professional rugby player) and ‘Burnsy’ of BBC Radio Hull. Here after 3 days of trading we were voted the winners of the best vegetarian dish.  Burnsy especially enjoyed this dish, saying that he does not usually like cauliflower but this was a ‘work of art’ (his words not mine)

Winning dish: Soy & Sesame glazed cauliflower tacos (available at cutlery works)
