In this workshop you will learn how to use the print technique
monoprinting which is a freeform style of printmaking where you can
create individual prints every time. This is done by drawing into the
ink or paper or by using textures placed on the inked plate. You will
guided through the whole process and will have time to experiment and
play around with images and ideas. Bring along any images you may want
to use such as drawings or photocopies and any textured paper or
materials you may want to use in your prints.
This workshop is run by Paperbased which is taught by experienced paper
artist Kim Bevan, she provides workshops for all ages here at cutlery
works and in her own studio. In her own practice she makes artist books
which play around with 3D sculptural folding techniques and she creates
artwork using paper cutting and printmaking.
