Recycled Notebooks

February 24, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Ever feel fed up of throwing away all your unwanted envelopes, tetra
paks and cardboard packaging? Well in this workshop you will use these
throwaway items to make notebooks. You will learn to make small
notebooks using recycled materials and traditional bookbinding
techniques. It could be the perfect little gift for writing shopping
lists or as a little sketchbook. The workshop is aimed at beginners who
have limited or no experience of bookbinding and would love to learn a
new skill.

This workshop is run by Paperbased which is taught by experienced paper
artist Kim Bevan, she provides workshops for all ages here at Cutlery
Works and in her own studio. In her own practice she makes artist books
which play around with 3D sculptural folding techniques and she creates
artwork using paper cutting and printmaking.

If you have any old envelopes, paper, card or tetra paks you would like
to bring along please do, otherwise all materials are provided.

Tickets also include an arrival drink, choose from house beer, small
house wine, selected bottled beers and soft drinks.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the event.
