In this workshop you will learn how to make a rubber stamp using a
normal everyday eraser and a scalpel. This is a perfect technique for
making quick and effective homemade cards and designs. You will also be
shown how to create a maze book to stamp your design into. You could do
a set of little images, characters or a small message to put onto a card
or book. At the end of the workshop you will go home with your
stamp/stamps and a free ink pad of your choice and your designs.
This workshop is run by Paperbased which is taught by experienced paper
artist Kim Bevan, she provides workshops for all ages here at cutlery
works and in her own studio. In her own practice she makes artist books
which play around with 3D sculptural folding techniques and she creates
artwork using paper cutting and printmaking.
Tickets also include an arrival drink, choose from house beer, small
house wine, selected bottled beers and soft drinks.

Foundry will be a Carbon Neutral company by the end of 2021. We have just this week established our carbon footprint following a project that we have been working on for the past few months in conjunction with the University of Sheffield who provided a paid intern to help us.
We are now looking at the best ways of offsetting our emissions, which is likely to be a combination of funding some carbon reducing activities locally and in one of the coffee producing countries that we buy out beans from. We’re off to Manchester Coffee Festival (https://www.cupnorth.co.uk/talks-2021) at the beginning of November to talk about how we went about this work and we’re hoping to inspire other small businesses to do the same.
