Intro To Cycle Maintenance

August 21, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

We’ve teamed up with Woodside Bikeworks, bringing together the 2 greatest things on earth – riding bikes and craft beer!

This workshop is an introduction to the basics of cycle maintenance and basic repairs.

Whether you ride for fun, competitively or to get from A to B, this workshop gives you the knowledge to keep your bike running as it should, and ultimately save you money on parts and workshop repair bills.

Topics covered include:
-Changing inner tube/tyre, inc wheel removal (The easy way)
-Guide to basic bike maintenance tools
-Checking parts for wear – saves you £££
-Cleaning and routine maintenance- keeping your drivetrain lubed and cleaned reduces wear and gives a smoother ride
-Brake adjustment and set up (kind of important, especially on Sheffield’s hills!)
-Adjusting and setting up gears (also useful for hills)
-Bike component guide
-What to carry on a ride
-Q and A session, for anything else or questions specific to your bike

Woodside Bikeworks is a sustainable, eco-conscious bike repair service. We use biodegradable, eco friendly products wherever possible. There will be a chance to purchase these on the day.

This session is £20 which includes a free pint of craft beer, courtesy of Boozehound. Tickets are available from here – make sure you select AUGUST 21ST as the ticket date!

You will receive a confirmation email as soon possible after payment is received.
