World of Music – 11:15, 16th May | Under the Ocean!

May 16, 2022 @ 11:15 am - 12:00 pm

Join Martin Harwood (Small Voices Big Noises) for a morning of sea-themed songs. Row your boat through the seven seas, walk the plank Over the Irish Sea, dance with the penguins and meet Tiny Tim the Turtle! If you’re feeling adventurous, you could visit Edo Sushi afterwards to introduce your little one to a new world of fishy cuisine!

With songs, dancing, listening as well as bubbles, percussion, props and informal introductions, this is a fun and informal gig for adults and their 0-5 year-old children.

Multi-instrumentalist and community musician Martin Harwood (fiddle, guitar, vocals) is a well known figure on the local and national traditional music scene primarily for his touring and recording work with bands Skyhook and Caravanserai. He is also a regular fiddle player and caller with numerous local Ceilidh bands. Alongside his performing work, Martin has around 20 years’ experience as an early years musician, educator and trainer, including working with SSELP, Music in the Round, Sheffield Libraries and Age Better. He combines exceptional musicianship with a passion for making music fun and accessible for all. Martin runs the hugely popular “Small Voices Big Noises” weekly drop-in music sessions for 0-4s and adults.
